My name is Rhys Killin and I offer a friendly, professional boat safety examination service throughout Yorkshire and Lancashire. I am based in Hebden Bridge in West Yorkshire on the Rochdale Canal and I am a liveaboard boater.

I have a diploma in Small Craft Surveying from Lloyds Maritime Academy and I am authorised to examine Boats as part of the Boat Safety Scheme.

I am happy to carry out examinations at a mutually agreed time and place. Should your boat not pass the initial examination I will return to recheck once you have carried out the necessary repairs completely free of charge within 3 months from the examination date.

I also carry with me a few spares including fire extinguishers, fire blankets, labels for fuel, gas and battery isolators, gas pipe clips, and straps for securing batteries. These are items that boats often fail on.
